Ernest  Johnson
Ernest "Ernie" Johnson, 77, of Falmouth, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, February 21, 2020.
One of five children, Ernie was born on June 13, 1942 in Waco, Kentucky to Charles and Geneva (Hackworth) Johnson.
Ernie served his country and enlisted with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to this area until moving in the 1970's to Orange County, Florida. Following his retirement, he moved back to Indiana in the summer of 2018.
While in this area, he was employed for Roots Blower and Philco-Ford. While living in Florida, Ernie was a residential carpenter.
Ernie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
Ernie is survived by a daughter, Sonya Johnson and her husband, Morgan Lee Mosley, of Falmouth, Indiana; three grandchildren, Harley Strickland, Ryan Johnson, and Lillian Johnson; three siblings, Barbara (Jon) Rogers of Laurel, Charles (Leta) Johnson, Jr. of Laurel, and Michael (Karen) Johnson of Brookville. He is also blessed with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joyce Lockwood.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Russell officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Fayette County Veterans Council. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear the news of cousin Ernie's passing. Feeling blessed to have got to see him in September 2019 at the Hackworth reunion. RIP cousin.
