Dorothy  Manlief
Dorothy Irene (Biddinger) Manlief, age 88, of Greenfield, formerly of Arlington, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020. She was born in Jennings County on May 15, 1931 to Elmer Dale and Mary Ellen (Brotherton) Biddinger. She graduated from Westport High School before marrying Walter Reed Manlief August 20, 1950.

Dorothy worked at Rush Memorial Hospital as a nurse and was an EMT for Todd's Ambulance Services in Rushville. Throughout her life, she also helped with the family farm. Dorothy was a member of Arlington Christian Church for 58 years and enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible School. She liked flowers, birds, and gardening, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Max) Gordon; grandchildren, Jeremy Manlief, Carrie Anne (Mike) Womack, Luke (Rene) Manlief, Christopher (Jennifer) Gordon, Amanda Manlief, Michelle Gordon (Mark Helser), David Manlief; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons; Stephen and Gary Manlief; daughter-in-law, Sue Ann Manlief; grandson-in-law, Tony Dixon; three sisters; and two brothers.

A private graveside service will take place at Arlington East Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, 50 E 91st St #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Friends may share a memory or condolence at Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.
