Scott Lewis Buckley


Scott Lewis Buckley, 54, of Cropwell, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 15, 2018. He was the loving son of Orville and Sharon Buckley of Rushville. Scott was born on Sept. 15, 1964, in Rushville. He was a graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School with the Class of 1983.
Scott served in the United States Army Military Police K-9 Unit from 1985-1993 stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. His last employment was in Pell City, Alabama, at the Benjamin Moore plant as a resin operator. In the past, he was employed at the Rush County Sheriff's Department. Scott married Karen Crowe on Oct. 6, 2015, on the top of Pike's Peak in Colorado.
In addition to his parents, Scott will be missed by his granddaughter Natalie Buckley of Indianapolis; his brother and sister-in-law Aaron and Charity Buckley and family of Rushville; his son Tanner Buckley of Indianapolis; two step sons, Cody and Tyler Crowe of Pell City, Alabama; and his many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m., on Jan. 4, 2019, in the Little Flatrock Christian Church of Rushville. A private service will be held in Pell City, Alabama. Memorial contributions can be made to the Little Flatrock Christian Church of Rushville, 2471 S 450 E, Rushville, IN 46173.
