Robert's Story

Robert L. Temple, Sr., a lifelong Rushville resident, passed away January 5, 2018 in Shelbyville. He was born September 25, 1939 in Rushville to the late Robert A. & Bernice (Cameron) Temple. Bob married Patricia Martin on December 5, 1959.
Bob served in the US Army Reserves. He owned & operated Temple Construction for many years, owned & operated a paint & body shop and worked at various places in the automotive industry. He was a member of the Rush County Veteran's Honor Guard, the Rushville Elks Lodge #1307, the American Legion Post #150 and also supported the Rushville VFW.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, of Rushville, he is survived by his son, Robert Jr. (Jo) Temple of Glenwood, sisters, Shirley (Rodney) Pollak of FL and Sandra (Donald) O'Connor of Rushville, 3 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Steven Pollak.
Services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Pastor John Wall presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary on Tuesday evening, January 9, 2018 from 4-7 PM. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. The Rush County Veteran's Honor Guard will provide military honors.
