Robert Benham "Bobby Ben" McGraw, 68, a life-long Rush County resident, passed away Jan. 15, 2017 in Rushville. He was born on Oct. 12, 1948 in Richmond to the late Robert B. & Marian (Hinchman) McGraw.
Bobby was an Elder & greeter at Ben Davis Creek Christian Church where he had been a life time member. He was involved with the Rush County ARC and attended general education classes in Connersville.
He worked at the Fayette Center and the McGraw Center, eventually retiring from Shares after 28 years. He had a great passion for the Purdue University Boilermakers, the Cincinnati Reds, NASCAR's Jeff Gordon, Bonanza's Hoss Cartwright and Bullriding's Ty Murray. He spent a lot of time with his rodeo buddies at the rodeo in Indianapolis. His birthday was always a time of rejoicing and he would buy dinner at Hickory Lane for his family & friends. Bobby had in infectious laugh and greeted all with a big hug & kiss!
He is survived by a cousin, Walter "Pete" Osting of Rush County and great nieces & nephews, Beth (Ryan) Vorhees, Tina (Mike) Hidde, Julie Connolly, Brandon (Shannon) Waggoner and Jeff (Brenda) Waggoner.
Services for Bobby Ben will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Howard Bullard presiding.
Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rush County ARC or the Ben Davis Creek Christian Church.
