Mark Sterling Tinch, 88, of Connersville passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 4, 2017 at Arbor Trace of Richmond.
He was born May 10, 1928 in Franklin, Ohio, the son of George D. and Myrtle Eppley Tinch.
On Aug. 25, 1976, he was married in Jellico, Tennessee to the former Phyllis A. Davison of Franklin County, Indiana. Mrs. Tinch survives.
A Connersville resident since 1968, Mark worked for Ford Motor Company for 41 years. A well known carpenter, he started Mark Tinch and Son Home Remodeling after his retirement from Ford in 1986. Mark is a member of New Heights Christian Church and in his leisure, he enjoyed woodworking and home remodeling.
Besides his wife of over 40 years, Phyllis Tinch, survivors include his children, Jason L. (April) Tinch of Chandler, Arizona, Michael G. Tinch of Brookville, Indiana,; daughter, Brenda J. Harrison of Connersville, Diana S. (Don) Trent and Carol L. (Ron) Rummel, all of Ash Grove, Missouri, Dennis W. (Sherri) Ryckman of Connersville; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren with two on the way; daughters-in-law, Brenda and Shawna Tinch.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Dolly Tinch; sons, Timothy Carl Tinch and Mark Steven Tinch; daughter-in-law, Lynn Tinch; son-in-law, Gregory Shaw; three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Ryan Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 or anytime online at millermosterrobbins.com.
