Lucille Holzback, 88, a long time Rush County-Richland Twp. resident, passed away Nov. 8, 2016 in Rushville. She was born Oct. 12, 1928 in Decatur County to Emmert E. & Glenn Dora (Doggett) Maple. Lucille was a 1946 graduate of Sandusky High School. She married Wilbur Holzback on Aug. 27, 1949.
Lucille was a long time member of the Clarksburg Christian Church. She will forever be remembered for her multi-tasking abilities around her home, her genuine love and care for her family and her molasses cookies!
She is survived by her loving husband, Wilbur, of Rushville, her son, Michael and wife Carol Holzback of Rush County, a daughter, Regina Masching of MN, grandchildren, David (Nicole) Edwards of Connersville, Angie (Tim) Fagan of Wayne County, Dawn Tanksley of Rushville, Joshua (Stephanie) Holzback of Noblesville and Jonathan (Krystal) Holzback of Memphis, TN and great grandchildren, Michael and Alex Edwards, Aaron, Luke, Zach and Seth Fagan, Tyler Tanksley and Taylor, Haylee, Isiah and Jackson Holzback. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Platt and 2 1/2 brothers, Forrest & Gene Garrett.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Rev. Jerran Jackon presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of service. Burial will be in the Fisher/Richland Cemetery in Rush County.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarksburg Christian Church.
