Lola's Story

Lola A. Crain, 71, a life long Franklin County-Andersonville/Buena area resident, passed away Feb. 14, 2017 at her home in Franklin County with her loving family at her side.
She was born October 8, 1945 in Rushville to Edwin J. & Blanche (Hammond) Scott.
Lola married Roger Crain on March 11, 1993 and he survives.
Lola was a 1963 graduate of Laurel High School. She was a long time member of the Buena Southern Baptist Church. She did custodial work for Fayette Memorial Hospital 25 years and for Rushville Consolidated High School 10 years, retiring in 2011. She was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother and enjoyed cooking, working in her flowers and shopping.
In addition to her husband, Roger, of Franklin County, she is survived by her daughters, Kim & husband Jeff Myers of Greenwood and Becky & husband Art Johns of Connersville, brothers, William E. & wife Johnnie Scott of Connersville and Charles & wife Wanda Scott of New Castle and grandsons, Brayton & Hunter Johns and Dylan Myers. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Blake Johns.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 in the Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church. Friends are welcome to visit at the church from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday evening, Feb. 16.
Brother Rob Edwards will preside and burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Moster Mortuary, Rushville, entrusted with arrangements.
