Joyce Norris Montgomery Joyce Norris Montgomery, 92, a longtime Rushville resident, passed away February 27, 2019 in Indianapolis. She was born December 20, 1926 in Winamac, IN. to Clarence & Oleva (Crepow) Creamer. She was a 1945 graduate of Covington High School and attended Indiana University for 2 years. Joyce married Will E. Norris DDS on August 16, 1947 and he preceded her in death on November 20, 1975. She married Orville Montgomery in June 1979 and he preceded her in death in December 1995.
Joyce was secretary of First Presbyterian Church in Rushville for many years. She was a longtime member of Main Street Christian Church, Tri Kappa and Alpha Xi Delta sororities. Joyce enjoyed playing bridge and visiting around the ladies round table at the Elk's Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Melinda & Mick Albaugh of Indianapolis and her sons, Andrew & Elizabeth Norris of Franklin County, Mark & Maureen Norris of Los Angeles, CA and Joseph Norris of Rushville. Joyce was also survived by her 6 grandchildren & 2 great-grandsons. Her brother, Glenn C. Creamer, also preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 1 PM Monday, March 4, 2019 in Main Street Christian Church with Zach Dorrell presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the church from 11:30 AM until time of service on Monday. Entombment will be in the East Hill Shrine Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street Christian Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
