I am shocked. I recently reconnected with John through Facebook. I was excited to read his many posts including his farm and winters in AZ.
I knew John and his family since our days in Rush County 4-H. We were the same age and with John, Delbert and Albert Kramer , we were always together.
My thoughts and prayers go with Martha, Nancy, and Mary Jane. We have lost a treasured friend.

My thoughts and prayers go out to John and his family and friends. He was certainly a very nice man and will be missed by many. He was a neighbor or ours when we were at Milroy.

We are honored and saddened for the loss to Paulette and to all of John's family. We knew him only briefly but knew he was a keeper and their love grew deeper and deeper. Will miss his enjoyment of my daughter's green bean casserole but mostly sharing posts and laughing with him. He was a true cut-up and never quite sure if he was an "Honest Abe" or a "Sugar Babe". Gotcha John.

I never had the privilege Of meeting John but one thing i know for sure is that he made my friend Paulette the happiest that I have ever seen her; and I have known her for 49 years. She was and still is so in love with this man. He sounds like a remarkable person and I am truly sorry we never met.
God's peace to all of you as I am that this is sure an extremely difficult time.
