In Loving memory of John M. Gasser, 75, who went to be with his Lord on May 10, 2016. He was born on June 2, 1940, at home in Laurel, Indiana, to John E. and Charlotte Gasser, who preceded him in death. His brother, Keith Gasser, also preceded him. He was survived by Sisters - Katherine Smith (husband AC) and Alice Osborn, as well as brother, Max Gasser.
John married his high school sweetheart, Jane White Gasser on June 2, 1960. They were happily married for 55 years raising 3 children on their farm in Milroy, who survive him: Carol Linsenbigler (husband John) of Seymour, TN; John W. Gasser (wife Laura) of Milroy and Annette Bonta (husband Tom) of Shelbyville, IN. He was loving son-in-law to Jerry White, who survives him and to his father-in-law, Howard White, who preceded him in death.
He was also a wonderful Christian example to his grandchildren: Adam Linsenbigler (wife Megan), Rebecca Linsenbigler, Tabitha Gentry (Husband Luther), John Thomas Gasser, Benjamin Gasser (Wife Kelsey) and Mackenzie Bonta. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
John loved the Lord and was a living example of a Christ-follower to everyone who knew him. He was a deacon at the New Heights Christian Church.
John previously worked at Perfect Circle, Indiana Department of Transportation, Farmer and driver for the Amish community.
Services will be held at the Milroy Christian Church on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Pastor John W. Gasser, Robert Taylor and Ryan Phelps will preside. Friends are also welcome to visit on , Sunday evening, May 15, 2016 from 4-7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to New Heights Christian Church, 2752 IN- 44, Connersville, Indiana 47331.
