Jenny Lou Leisure, 93 of Carthage, passed away on Nov. 26, 2016 in Rushville.
She was born on Jan. 8, 1923 in Rush County to the late William and Beulah (Metzker) Glendenning. Jenny was a graduate of Arlington High School. Jenny married Eugene Leisure on Oct. 31, 1940 and he precedes her in death on May 29, 1989. She was a member of Hannegan Christian Church. Jenny was a superintendent secretary for 25 years at Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children's Home retiring in 1980. She is survived by her son, Alyn Leisure of Rushville, brother, George Glendenning of Shelbyville, grandchildren, Craig (Karen) Leisure of Rushville, Nicholas (Suzanne) Leisure of Rushville, Karyn Sherwood of Newport, MI, Melinda (Troy) Hoffman of Greenfield, Joni (Adrian) Degner of Columbus, niece, Susan (Gerald) Leonard, 15 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Leisure, son, Thomas Leisure, granddaughter, Lisa Webster and sister, Loyd McConnell.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Pastor Warren Engel presiding.
Friends are welcome to visit from 11 AM until the time of service that same day at the mortuary. Burial will take place in Glen Cove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Moster Mortuary.
