Hugh Allen Willey

February 26, 1947 - July 31, 2018

Hugh Allen Willey, passed away July 31,2018. He was a native of Rush County born in February 1947. He recently returned and was cared for by his loving sister, Rosie, after living most of his life in the Greensburg and Indianapolis areas. He was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church in Greensburg where he drove the church bus and later became a member of Union Valley Baptist Church in Belle Union, Indiana. After returning to Rushville he attended Plum Creek Christian Church for many years. He loved the book of Genesis,and reading the entire Bible and had done so completely three times. Hugh served in the United States Army and upon his honorable discharge attended Indiana Barber College in 1967, where he found his true passion. He was the owner of two barber shops throughout his long career, The Barber Shop in Greensburg and Als Barber Shop in Carmel, Indiana. Hugh was a free spirit that lived his life to the fullest by his own set of rules.
Hugh was the father of three children, 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild that loved him immensely. Tamara King (Byron), Melani Ferrer (George) and Shane Willey, (grandchildren) Brianna and Jordan Mentz, Trey and Kody King, Sydney, Nick, Sophie and Nya Ferrer, Mackenzie Willey and Ava Mentz all of whom he is survived by. Hugh is also survived by his loving siblings, Richard (Gloria)Willey, Doris Bowles, Judy (Charles) Colvin, Rozanna(Jerry) Herbert and Rebecca (Mike) DeVoe as well as, several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his lifelong friend and confidante, Ginny Willey. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter R. Willey and Marjorie (Montgomery) Willey, as well as one sister, Kimberly Ann Willey.
At the request of Hugh there will be no service, however prayers for the family are always welcome.
