Henry Louis Thompson
Henry Louis Thompson, 99, a longtime Rushville resident passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 in Rushville. Henry was born on December 6, 1919 in Schley County Ga to the late Ed and Willie D. (Davis) Thompson.
Henry served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Neppie L. Jackson on May 1, 1949 and she preceded him in death on July 6, 2010. Henry worked at Dana Corp. as a machinist for 20 years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post #150, and the VFW.
Henry is survived by several nieces and nephews and 2 sisters in law, Marian Kea of Akron, OH and Barbara Ann Jackson of Schley County Ga.
In addition to his parents and wife, Henry was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Roosevelt, Joe U, and Chester D. Thompson, 3 sisters Eddie Minter, Bedell Blue and Anna McClendon.
Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Pastor Elaine Stewart will preside. Friends are welcome to visit from 11 AM until the time of service that same day at the mortuary. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Rush County Honor Guard will perform military rites at the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
