Helen M. Sempsrott, 91, of Arlington, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on March 22, 2017. She lived serving others & loving Christ. Helen was born March 2, 1926 in Kings Mt, KY to Herbert & Lucy Jane (Weaver) Frederick. She married Robert L. Sempsrott on March 10, 1947 and he survives. She spent many years in Spencer & Anderson and also Lebanon, OH. She had been living in the Arlington community since 2003.
Helen was a member of the First Church of God in Rushville and was active in the Women's Auxillary of the Gideons Society.
In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by her sons, Wayne & wife Diane Sempsrott of Bloomington, Bud & wife Polly Sempsrott of Middletown, CT, Karl & wife Leslie Sempsrott of Spencer and Ralph & wife Mary Eileen Sempsrott of Arlington, 17 grandchildren & 23 great grandchildren survive. Helen was preceded in death by 3 brothers & a sister.
Services will be held at the First Church of God-1200 W. US Hwy 52, Rushville, at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 with Pastor Gary Jordan presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the church on Friday evening, March 24, from 6-8 p.m. and also Saturday morning before services from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
