H. Eugene Robbins
Howard Eugene Robbins, 93 of Rushville, passed away on October 12, 2019. He was born on December 13, 1925 in Franklin County, IN to the late David Nelson and Lola (Wilhelm) Robbins. Eugene married Helen L. (Scheibler) on October 19, 1946 and she preceded him in death on December 26, 2016. He was a life time member of the Rushville Church of the Nazarene. Eugene worked at MoorMan Feed Company for over 29 years. He served his country in War World II while in the United States Navy. Eugene was a radio operator on the USS Croatan which escorted President Roosevelt to the Crimean Conference.
Eugene had three children, Sharon S. (Fred) Brown of Rushville, Rev. Ronald Robbins (Deceased), and James R. Robbins of Edgewater, FL and daughter in law Mrs. Linda (Darwin) Robbins McKenzie of California. They have 5 grandchildren, Michele (Phil) King, Douglas R. Brown, Angela (Brian) Sloan, Ronda Lin (Grant) Glessner and Brent (Samantha) Robbins; 5 great grandchildren, Courtney (David) Griffin, Lake Schelde, Autumn Schelde, Sky Schelde, Giovanna Robbins, Ottavio Robbins and 2 great-great grandchildren, Jude Monroe Griffin and Willow Danielle Griffin.
Eugene is also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Joanna Robbins; brothers, Robert Robbins, Lloyd Robbins, Donald Robbins, Loren Robbins, Charles Robbins; sisters, Ruth Fletcher, Rosemary Spurgin, Murba Ruble, Wanda Ruble.
Services will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 12 PM in Moster Mortuary, with Pastor Aaron Chester presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 10 AM until the time of service on Sunday. Burial will be held in Fishers Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made out to Rushville Church of the Nazarene in Memory of Eugene.
