Geneva M. Atwood, born Geneva Bradley, 86, passed quietly on March 1, 2017 in the Brown County Health & Living facility.
She was born Dec. 27, 1930 in Morristown, IN to William & Hazel (Hester) Bradley. She was the longest survivng sibling of five children. Geneva was a 1947 graduate of Manilla High School. Geneva married Edward Atwood on March 8, 1952 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1966.
Geneva worked for Virginia Willkie as a house keeper and nanny for many years and was much beloved by those children, Laura, Ben and David.
She is survived by a son, Charles W. Atwood of Nashville, IN. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Mildred Bradley and brothers, William, Kenneth & Glen Bradley.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Rev. Jeff Edwards presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 11 AM until time of service that same day. Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
