Francis H. Fussner
Born on May 17, 1923, in Fayette County, Indiana, he was the son of Albert "Pap" and Edna Fussner. He attended school through the 8th grade at which time he stayed at home to work on the family farm.
He married Eugenia Gutzwiller on April 26, 1958, and she preceded him in death on March 13, 2017. They met at the Raleigh Community Club where they danced for many years.
Dad saw many changes throughout his life. Having lived through the Great Depression, he learned at a young age to work hard. He saw farming change from using his favorite team of horses, Dick & Bill, to driving four-wheel drive tractors.
Dad was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs. He laughed and said he waited 93 years to see the Cubs win the World Series.
He was very interested in Jeff & Tom's pulling tractor, the "Busted Budget". He always wanted to know how they placed. His favorite saying was "If it isn't red, leave it in the shed."
Fritz was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville.
