Forrest Lee Piles, 91, a long time Rushville & Arlington area resident, passed away Jan. 24, 2017 in Rushville.
He was born Aug. 14, 1925 in Shelbyville to Amos Earl Piles & Zena (Kennedy) Piles Bates. He married Nora Louise Adkins on March 29, 1946 and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2002.
Forrest "Frosty" served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 24 years and also did carpentry work for many years. Frosty enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Rushville Elks Club. He wintered many years in Florida.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas (Ray) Piles and Phillip (Kileen) Piles, a daughter, Karen (David) Garau, a brother, Stephen (Helen) Piles, a sister, Betty Palmer, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Frosty was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brothers, Lloyd & Bob.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2017 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Robert Proctor presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 29.
Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Rush County Veteran's Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
