Elizabeth "Liz" Turner, 88, of Rushville, passed away Nov. 18, 2016 in Morristown.
Liz was born Oct. 13, 1928 in Brazil to Daniel & Jeannette (Miller) Fisher. She was a 1946 graduate of Anderson High School. Liz married Cyral E. Turner on August 22, 1948 and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1986. They spent time in Chesterton and Valpo areas and had resided in Rushville since 1965.
Liz was a long time member of the First Baptist Church, past president of the Rush County Mental Health Association, was former vice-president of Rush County Victims Assistance and member of the Bas Bleu Book Club. Liz retired in 1986 after many years as office administrator for Pioneer Hi-Bred International in Rushville.
She is survived by a daughter, Jana (Rick) Jay of Ft. Wayne, a son, Jeffrey (Debbie Masters) Turner of McCordsville, grandchildren, Andrea and Alyssa Jay, Elizabeth, Daniel and Stephen Turner and special cousin, Katie Clark of Anderson.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Pastor Greg Engle presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from Noon until service on Monday. Graveside burial will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, November 22 in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
