Dennis Dalrymple, 63, of Shelbyville, formerly of Andersonville/Laurel area, passed away Sept. 8, 2016 in Shelbyville. He was born Sept. 17, 1952 in Rushville to Cloyd Melvin and Marilyn (Keal) Dalrymple. Dennis was a 1970 graduate of Laurel High School. He married Teresa Manuel in August of 2013 and she survives.
Dennis was just retired from Quickway in Shelbyville after 15 years where he worked as a spotter. He was a member of the Andersonville Masonic Lodge F&AM #119, attended the Shelbyville Community Church and was an avid outdoorsman.
In addition to his wife, Teresa, of Shelbyville, he is survived by a son, Eric Dalrymple and wife Stacey of Vevay; a daughter, Melissa Walton and husband Josh of Rushville; brothers, Marion Dalrymple and wife Billie of Laurel and Russell Dalrymple and wife Kari of Shelbyville; a sister, Teresa Ruble and husband Tom of Rushville; and grandchildren, Maggie and Marilynn Dalrymple and Kayleigh and Kole Walton. Dennis was preceded in death by brothers Jeff and Stuart.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Brandon Rood presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11. Masonic services will be presented at 5 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the Eastbrook Cemetery in Milroy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in order to offset burial expenses.
