Dennis Charles "Charlie" Cox, 53, a long time Rushville resident, passed away Nov. 16, 2016 at his home in Rushville.
He was born March 1, 1963 in Batesville to Jim and Depsie (Hall) Cox. Charlie spent his early life in the Bright, IN. and Harrison, OH. areas. He spent many years in Lakeview and came to live in Rushville after marrying Sara Shook on December 6, 1984.
Charlie worked many years for Franklin Supply in the mill.
He is survived by his wife, Sara, of Rushville, his mother, Depsie Cox of Metamora, sons, Tim Shook of Greensburg and John (Stephanie) Cox of Rushville, a daughter, Maggie (Craig) Smith of Rushville, brothers, Kenny (Susan) Cox of Metamora, Jimbo (Kim) Cox of Connersville and Dusty (Tasha) Cox of Brookville, a sister, Rosie (Robert) White of Metamora and grandchildren, Emily, Eden and Damien Shook, Elita & Rayne Cox, Ashlynn & Kenzie Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter, Rebecca Lynn and a brother, John Harvey Cox.
Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, Nov. 19, 2106 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Rev's Wade Hicks and Tim Roberts presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary on Friday, Nov. 18, from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
