David L. McDonald 61, of Manilla, passed away on July 1, 2017 at Major Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1956 to Raymond McDonald and Sue Ann (Thrall) Scott in Rushville.
He married Robin L. (Christian) McDonald on September 6, 1986 and she survives. Other survivors include his mother Sue Ann Scott of Franklin, daughter Shelby Stover of Shelbyville, brothers Gary (wife Dawn) McDonald of Franklin, Philip "Rocky" McDonald of Waldron, sisters Sherry Sauer of Indianapolis, and Emily West of Portland Oregon. David is also survived by his nephew Kyle (wife Katie) McDonald of Rushville. He was preceded in death by his father. David was a lifetime resident of the area, and was a CNC Mill Operator for Triumph Fabrications for 25 years. He graduated from Rushville High School, and had attended Shelbyville Community Church. David was an avid fisherman, and loved participating in demolition derbys since 1978. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, and watching the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Pacers, and loved his dog Lexi, but most of all David loved spending time with his family and friends.
Services will be held on Friday July 7, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of service.
