Anna Lee Creech, 86, of Fayette County, passed away on Nov. 9, 2016 in Rushville.
She was born on May 20, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Hiram and Leona (Morrow) Lovins. Anna was a 1948 graduate of Clarksburg High School. She married Ernest Creech on June 26, 1948, as he preceded her in death on June 20, 1993.
Anna and Ernest worked hand in hand at the Creech Auction Barn in Orange for many years until he passed away. She then worked in the cafeteria at Orange Elementary School and then served as a bus aid for Fayette Schools until 1994. She truly loved her grandchildren and family. Her hobbies included sewing, puzzles, reading and crocheting hand towels for her family.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Ann Jean Baker of Rushville, granddaughters, Sheila (Jeff) Browning of Rushville, Lucy Smiley of Rushville, and Tammy Lunsford of Rushville, sisters, Vernal Terry of Muncie and Betty Gabbard of Greensburg, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and one great-great grandchild on the way.
Anna is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest Creech, a daughter, Jean Darlene Fogarty, a son-in-law, Westley Fogarty, a sister, Irene Wolfe and a brother, Hiram Lovins, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Rev. Patrick Smith presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 11 a.m. until time of service on Saturday. Entombment will take place in Rushville's East Hill Shrine Mausoleum.
