Ann Taff Anderson

March 25, 1936 - July 30, 2018

Ann Taff Anderson, age 82, passed away peacefully on Monday July 30, 2018 from a long courageous battle to cancer, surrounded by her loving family. A native of Hanover, Indiana until age 14, then moved to Rushville, Indiana where she graduated from Rushville high school in 1954. She enjoyed playing in the high school band and singing in the girls ensemble. Ann graduated from Hanover College in 1958 where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a member of the Phi Mu sorority and served as Rush Chair and President. At no surprise, Ann was crowned both Apple Blossom Queen as well as May Queen during her college years.
In September 1958 she took a position with the YM/YWCA in Lakewood, Ohio. On January 24, 1959, Ann married her beloved soulmate for life Ralph "Andy" Anderson and has resided in Upper Arlington, Ohio ever since. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a founder of Altar Guild, and worked as a youth group advisor as well as a member of Ruth Circle. Ann was also a loyal member of The Childhood League of Columbus, Central Ohio Diabetes Association and Franklin Garden Club. Her unconditional love for family and friends was beautifully exhibited through her devotion to her book club and her "good times girls". To this day Ann remains close friends with her long time tennis buddies, and enjoyed many rounds of golf with friends at both Scioto Country Club and The Longboat Key Club. Some of her greatest memories with family were spent at Lake Santee, Indiana, Three Narrows Lake, Ontario, and Longboat Key, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents Jay C. and Doris Taff, and her brother J.D. Taff. She is survived by her husband Ralph W. "Andy" Anderson, her three children Doug Anderson (Kerrii), Gigi Denyes (Kirk), Bill Anderson (Beth), 6 beloved grandchildren Carmen Savarino (Brian), Trent Denyes, Alexa and Taff Anderson, Sam and Simon Anderson, sister in law Ann Heilman, niece Julie Burkett (Kevin), nephews Joe Taff (Karen), Andy Taff (Cindy), brother in laws Richard Anderson (Molly), Dennis Anderson (Maryann), David Anderson (Pam), nephews Shep Anderson (Gilah), Matt Anderson, Mike Anderson (Carol), nieces Jennifer Marcellana (Dean), Jessica Anderson, Kara Pickler (Brian), and many cherished grand nephews and nieces. A service of worship will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1581 Cambridge Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43212. The family will receive friends for a celebration of Ann's life immediately following the service at Scioto Country Club, 2196 Riverside Drive, Columbus, Oh 43221.
